Tsuyo Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. has secured a business programme valued at approximately US$3.2 million annually from a leading Indian original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for its next-generation Interior Permanent Magnet (IPM) motor for electric three-wheelers.
The 10-year programme covers motor supply, technical support, servicing and after-sales support, establishing a long-term partnership between Tsuyo and the OEM throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
The contract expands Tsuyo’s engagement with OEMs in India’s electric commercial mobility sector and highlights its capabilities in developing and manufacturing application-specific electric powertrain solutions.
The motor has been developed as a Heavy Rare Earth (HRE)-free Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) featuring an Interior Permanent Magnet rotor design. It offers maximum system efficiency of up to 93 per cent, along with Hall Effect feedback, air cooling and an IP65 protection rating. The motor is supplied without a connector.
Prashant Ranjan, Director – In-charge, Sales & Services, Tsuyo Manufacturing, said the 10-year programme marks a significant milestone for the company and reflects customer confidence in its engineering, manufacturing and lifecycle support capabilities.
He added that a programme of this scale requires consistent product quality, reliable supply, responsive technical support and strong after-sales service throughout the vehicle lifecycle. Tsuyo is focused on further strengthening these capabilities.
