Gühring has announced the launch of its latest innovation—System 208, a high-precision grooving solution engineered specifically for Swiss-type lathes. Designed to meet the demands of machining intricate, miniature turned components, the system promises enhanced process reliability and tool longevity.

Swiss-type lathes are known for operating in extremely confined environments, and System 208 rises to the challenge. Featuring a compact rhombic indexable insert with two cutting edges, the system is optimised for machines equipped with bar feeders. It supports grooving depths of up to 8 mm, making it suitable for a broad spectrum of operations including parting off, grooving, and longitudinal turning.

  • New Torx Plus clamping screw for quick handling
