Lumax Auto Technologies is adding capacity in Maharashtra. Lumax Auto Technologies Limited has approved plans to establish a new manufacturing plant in Chakan, Maharashtra, with a capital expenditure of approximately ₹156.23 crore.

What The Lumax Auto Technologies Plant Will Make
The new facility will operate under the company’s Intelligent Ambient Comfort (IAC) division and will cater to new component supply orders secured from Mahindra & Mahindra. The project will be financed entirely through internal accruals and is expected to generate a peak annualised turnover of around ₹440 crore once fully commissioned.
Construction and setup of the facility will be carried out in two phases. The first phase is scheduled for completion by the fourth quarter of FY 2027, while the second phase is slated for completion in the first quarter of FY 2028.
How It Is Being Funded
The announcement came alongside the release of Lumax Auto Technologies’ financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹1,363.62 crore, an increase of 32.8 percent from ₹1,026.37 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
Consolidated net profit for the quarter increased to ₹98.64 crore, compared with ₹54.00 crore in the same period of the previous year.
