Star Cutter Launches Double Pilot Reamer for Precision Barrel Machining

Star Cutter Company has introduced its new Double Pilot Reamer, a precision-engineered tool developed to deliver enhanced size control, improved surface finishes, and extended tool life for demanding barrel machining applications.

Designed for deep-hole and high-precision bore operations, the Double Pilot Reamer addresses applications where straightness, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality are critical. The tool is suited for use across a wide range of industries, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, aerospace components, engine and powertrain parts, defense applications, orthopedic devices, and industrial cylindrical components that require tight tolerances over extended bore lengths.

Built around a fully guided cutting approach, the Double Pilot Reamer stabilizes the tool from entry to exit, supporting it through the full length of the bore.
