Tungaloy Launches Intuitive Tool for Special Insert Designs

Tungaloy has launched a new digital tool to streamline and speed up the design process for special grooving inserts: the Drawing Generator for Special Grooving Inserts.
This user-friendly platform enables users to create customized concept drawings by inputting a few key parameters related to groove and insert geometry. Suitable for internal use and customer proposals, the tool simplifies and accelerates special insert requests.

Key Input Parameters:

  • Cutting width (CW)
  • Grooving depth (GD)
  • Corner radius values (R1 and R2)
  • Chamfer presence
  • Edge geometry (corner radius or full radius)

Output Features:

  • Simplified groove and insert drawing
  • Suggested insert types and chipbreaker options
  • Recommended honing specifications and grades
  • Responsive interface for use across all devices

 The Drawing Generator achieves greater speed and clarity to all the special tooling requests.
