CIMCO Unveils Color Toolpath by Feedrate at EMO Hannover 2025

CIMCO has announced the launch of its new Color Toolpath by Feedrate feature in CIMCO Edit 2025 and NC Machine Simulation, designed to simplify visualization and verification of feedrates directly in NC programs.

With this enhancement, toolpaths are automatically colored using a gradient that reflects the cutting feedrate – ranging from blue at lower feeds to red at higher feeds, with smooth blending of intermediate values. The color mapping makes it easier for users to quickly identify anomalies such as unexpected slowdowns or feed spikes, which could otherwise lead to issues like poor surface finish, accelerated tool wear, or even machine damage.

The system also provides a clear overview of performance limits by highlighting the minimum and maximum cutting feedrates used within a program.

CIMCO will present this feature, along with its latest software solutions, at EMO Hannover 2025, taking place from September 22–26 at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds in Germany. Visitors can find CIMCO at Stand A42 in Hall 6.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore how CIMCO’s software solutions can enhance production processes and support smarter, more efficient digital manufacturing.
