Makino India to Showcase Next-Generation Machining and EDM Solutions at DMI 2026

Advancing the frontiers of precision engineering and high-performance machining, Makino India Pvt. Ltd. is set to present its latest innovations at the 14th Die & Mould India International Exhibition (DMI 2026), scheduled from April 21–24 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. As the tooling industry moves toward greater complexity, tighter tolerances, and faster production cycles, the company aims to demonstrate technologies that enable toolmakers to achieve global benchmarks in quality and efficiency.

With a strong legacy of supporting Indian toolrooms, Makino continues to focus on delivering solutions that combine precision, reliability, and advanced engineering. The exhibition will serve as a platform to engage with industry stakeholders through application-driven demonstrations and highlight the role of digital manufacturing and automation in shaping the future of die and mould production.

Raghav T. V. Badhya, President, Makino India Pvt. Ltd., highlighted the company’s vision and showcase, stating that “DMI 2026 represents a pivotal moment for India’s Die and Mould industry and serves as a platform to demonstrate evolving capabilities, where the focus is shifting toward larger, more complex moulds, tighter micron-level accuracy, and accelerated manufacturing cycles,” adding that “for Makino, this is more than an exhibition as it allows us to reaffirm our longstanding commitment to elevating India’s tooling ecosystem with solutions that combine precision, reliability, and engineering excellence,” while noting that “we will be unveiling a new high-generation speed machining centre engineered specifically for high-precision die and mould applications, along with large format 5-axis machining centers designed for complex automotive and large mould requirements.”

He further elaborated on the technology lineup, stating that “Makino will showcase high precision, high-speed vertical machining solutions delivering premium surface finish, micron-level accuracy, and shorter finishing cycles, along with large and high-precision wire and sinker EDM machines featuring superior accuracy, thermally stable construction, and automation-ready designs for continuous machining,” while adding that “these platforms are supported by next-generation machine design enhancements including improved structural rigidity, enhanced thermal management, and process consistency for first-time-right machining,” emphasising that “DMI enables meaningful engagement through application-driven demonstrations and engineering consultations, strengthening collaboration with toolmakers aiming to scale for global markets,” and highlighting that “the technologies showcased reflect Makino’s commitment to enabling Indian toolmakers to manufacture large, complex, and high-accuracy moulds benchmarked to international standards.”
