SDLG India has outlined an investment plan of approximately ₹1,500 crore to expand domestic manufacturing and capacity in India. As part of the initial phase, the company has invested ₹300 crore in a new manufacturing plant in Gujarat, which is planned to reach an annual production capacity of up to 3,000 construction equipment units in phases.
The Gujarat facility will manufacture key equipment categories including wheel loaders, excavators and electric vehicles. The phased capacity expansion is expected to allow SDLG India to scale production in line with market demand, while the company also plans to increase sourcing from Indian suppliers and develop its local vendor ecosystem.
Alongside the manufacturing expansion, SDLG India has unveiled 10 new construction equipment products across diesel and electric excavators, wheel loaders and motor graders. The new range features upgraded hydraulic systems, revised operator controls and safety features, and is aimed at applications across infrastructure, construction and mining.
Soumyaranjan Dash, Head of Dealer Development and Brand Marketing, SDLG India, said, “This is a defining moment in SDLG India’s journey, and a milestone that reflects our trust in India’s growth story and its emergence as a global manufacturing powerhouse. Our ambition is to build an ecosystem where SDLG India and its partners can grow together, creating lasting value for all.”
