TREX Energy, an Indian energy storage company, has inaugurated a lithium battery manufacturing facility at E-City, Raviryal, Maheshwaram, Hyderabad, to strengthen domestic production capabilities for battery energy storage systems (BESS).
The facility is equipped with a 12 PPM automatic module assembly line, designed to manufacture 52S battery packs for 261 kWh battery configurations and larger 5 MWh energy storage systems. The automated production line is expected to support manufacturing consistency, efficiency and quality control.
The company’s product portfolio covers energy storage solutions ranging from 5 kWh to 5 MWh, catering to residential, commercial and industrial (C&I), and utility-scale applications. Its offerings include home inverter batteries, battery packs and energy storage systems for factories, commercial establishments and renewable energy projects.
According to Bharat S. Chhittarka, Director, TREX Energy, the company is focusing on reducing financing costs to make BESS solutions more affordable and reliable for the Indian market. Technical Director Roshan Shaik said the new assembly line would strengthen the company’s ability to manufacture scalable energy storage solutions.
TREX Energy also plans to expand its manufacturing operations through a proposed Phase 2 facility in Madhya Pradesh, for which the state government has allotted four acres of land. The expansion is expected to increase its manufacturing footprint and support its reach across additional Indian markets.
The investment comes amid growing demand for energy storage solutions to support renewable energy integration, manage fluctuations in power supply and meet peak-load requirements. Through its Hyderabad facility and planned expansion, TREX Energy aims to strengthen local manufacturing and reduce dependence on imported energy storage solutions.
