CERATIZIT Expands Manufacturing Footprint in India

The CERATIZIT Group, a leading high-tech engineering company in cutting tools and hard material solutions, has announced the expansion of its manufacturing sites in Uluberia, West Bengal, and Bommasandra, Bengaluru, Karnataka.

These expansions represent a major milestone in CERATIZIT’s growth strategy for India and reinforce its commitment to the country as both a strategic market and a key manufacturing hub. By scaling up capacity at the two locations, the company aims to address the growing demand for advanced cutting tool solutions.

Strengthening Local Manufacturing and Innovation in India

The expansion of the Uluberia and Bommasandra facilities underscores CERATIZIT’s confidence in India’s manufacturing capabilities. With India emerging as one of the Group’s fastest-growing markets, these investments are aligned with its strategy of producing locally to serve both domestic and global customers.

CERATIZIT currently operates three production facilities in India—two in the Bengaluru region and one in Uluberia. This strong local presence allows the company to deliver high-quality, India-made solutions for industries such as aerospace, automotive, electronics, energy, and general engineering.

By boosting capacity at Uluberia and Bommasandra, CERATIZIT will enhance its ability to meet customer requirements with shorter lead times, greater customization, and improved support for export orders worldwide.

Outlook

The expansion projects at Uluberia and Bommasandra emphasize CERATIZIT’s ongoing commitment to sustainable growth in India. These initiatives align with the company’s broader vision to support India’s manufacturing sector. As the expanded facilities become operational in the coming year, CERATIZIT expects further growth in response to increasing demand in the region.
