What The LMW Tamil Nadu MoU Covers

The development is significant for Tamil Nadu’s growing aerospace and advanced manufacturing ecosystem, particularly given LMW’s existing capabilities in aerospace manufacturing.

LMW already operates an Advanced Technology Centre (ATC) in Coimbatore, with capabilities serving the aerospace industry. The latest MoU is therefore focused on further expansion and development of the company’s existing aerospace and advanced manufacturing capabilities, rather than marking its entry into aerospace manufacturing.

Why Tamil Nadu

The development is also expected to strengthen Coimbatore’s precision-engineering ecosystem and support Tamil Nadu’s aerospace and advanced manufacturing ambitions.

The MoU is non-binding, and specific future investments, facilities, production programmes or customer and OEM engagements have not been confirmed unless separately announced by LMW or the relevant authorities.

The development comes as LMW continues to build on its aerospace capabilities and Tamil Nadu strengthens its position as a destination for high-value manufacturing.
