Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal has invited US-based industrial automation company Rockwell Automation to expand its operations and engagement in India.

Goyal made the invitation during a meeting with Rockwell Automation Chairman and CEO Blake Moret in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where the minister is attending the G20 Trade Ministerial meeting convened by US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.

The meeting focused on expanding Rockwell Automation’s engagement in India, particularly as the country’s manufacturing sector continues to grow and adopt industrial automation and digital technologies.

“India’s rapidly evolving manufacturing landscape, expanding industrial base, and strong technological capabilities present exciting avenues for collaboration in industrial automation and digital transformation,” Goyal said in a post on X.

He also highlighted India’s engineering talent and policy environment as opportunities for Rockwell Automation to build technology-driven and resilient supply chains.

G20 trade ministers also toured Rockwell Automation’s facility in Milwaukee during their visit.

Headquartered in Milwaukee, Rockwell Automation specialises in industrial automation and digital transformation technologies.
