PM Modi to Inaugurate ESTIC 2026 to Boost India’s Deep-Tech Sector

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) 2026 today at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi and address the gathering. The three-day event will bring together scientists, researchers, academicians, policymakers, industry leaders, startups and international experts to discuss emerging technologies and India’s science, technology and innovation priorities.

The conclave will cover 12 thematic areas, including artificial intelligence, biotechnology, advanced materials, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, climate and ocean sciences. Discussions will focus on research priorities, strengthening national capabilities and translating scientific advancements into practical applications.

ESTIC 2026 will also feature a technology and innovation exhibition showcasing indigenous scientific achievements and emerging technologies. Around 150 deep-tech startups will present their innovations and demonstrate their potential applications across various sectors.

The exhibition will include technology demonstrations, documentaries, thematic videos, informational kiosks and augmented and virtual reality experiences to highlight scientific developments and their real-world applications.

Another key feature will be the Global Connect Networking Event, which will bring together more than 300 invited participants from academic institutions, research organisations and industry in India and abroad. The initiative aims to facilitate international research partnerships, strengthen industry-academia collaboration and support the transition of innovations from laboratories to the market.
