IPTEX–GRINDEX 2026 Inaugurated in Pune, Uniting the Gear & Power Transmission Industry

The 9th edition of IPTEX and the 7th edition of GRINDEX were officially inaugurated today at the Auto Cluster Exhibition Center, Pune, marking the commencement of a landmark three-day exhibition dedicated to the gear and mechanical power transmission industry. Running from February 26 to 28, 2026, IPTEX–GRINDEX 2026 brings together leading manufacturers, technology providers, and industry experts from India and across the globe.

Bringing IPTEX 2026 (9th Edition) and GRINDEX 2026 (7th Edition) together as one powerful platform, this year’s event unites the entire gear and power transmission ecosystem under one roof. The exhibition showcases advancements in gear cutting, grinding, honing, and finishing technologies, alongside automation, metrology, cutting tools, lubricants, software, and allied solutions.

The event strongly aligns with India’s “Make in India” vision by highlighting cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and promoting global competitiveness in precision engineering. Supported by the American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA), IPTEX–GRINDEX serves as a bridge between Indian manufacturers and global standards, encouraging knowledge exchange and international collaboration.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of distinguished dignitaries and industry leaders, including Chandrakant Nemade and Ashish Nemade of NEMADE, representatives from DVS Technologies, Rohit Pereira of Kapp Niles, Vishwajit Kothari of Cyber Gears, Soundararajan KP, former MD of Gleason Works India, Prakash Kadam of Pragati Transmission, and Sachin Mahajan of Quaker Houghton, among others.

A key highlight of the inauguration was the unveiling of the special edition of GTI – Gear Technology India Magazine, commemorating the event and showcasing industry insights, innovations, and market perspectives.

In addition to the exhibition, the concurrent GTI Summit and GTI Awards add significant value to the platform. The summit features expert-led discussions on emerging trends, MSME opportunities in the global supply chain, and the evolving demands of automotive, EV, aerospace, and industrial manufacturing sectors. The GTI Awards recognize excellence and innovation within the gear and power transmission community.

As the industry gathers in Pune over the next three days, IPTEX–GRINDEX 2026 promises to be a comprehensive experience of technology display, business networking, knowledge exchange, and industry recognition — reaffirming its position as a premier meeting ground for precision engineering and power transmission technologies.
