Musashi Auto Parts India Pvt. Ltd. has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Bhago Mobility Solutions Private Limited to supply electric powertrain systems for the fixed-battery variant of Bhago’s upcoming three-wheeler passenger vehicle, the Bhago Bhim™.
Under the agreement, Musashi will supply integrated three-wheeler electric axles (e-Axles) for the fixed-battery version of the Bhago Bhim™ platform. Production is planned to start in 2027, with the e-Axles to be manufactured at Musashi’s Bangalore facility.
The Bhago Bhim™ is also being developed in a battery-swap configuration, although the current LOI covers only the fixed-battery variant. The companies intend to explore further collaboration on other configurations, including cargo variants and battery-swapping systems.
The Bhago Bhim™ platform is being developed with an IoT-native architecture and integrated telematics to support remote diagnostics, maintenance scheduling and over-the-air software updates. It is aimed at India’s passenger and last-mile mobility segments, including driver-owners and fleet operators.
According to figures cited by the companies, electric vehicles accounted for more than 60% of India’s three-wheeler retail sales in 2025. The partnership will add to domestic component sourcing for India’s growing electric three-wheeler segment, with Musashi’s e-Axles for the programme manufactured in India.
