Madhya Pradesh has attracted investment opportunities worth more than ₹15,400 crore, including a proposed ₹6,415 crore hyperscale data centre in Gwalior, at the Madhya Pradesh Semiconductor Summit 2026 held in Indore on October 23 and 24.
The two-day summit was inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav at the Brilliant Convention Centre in Indore. According to officials, five companies received letters of intent for land allotment for proposed industrial projects worth ₹9,625 crore across Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior. These projects are expected to generate more than 4,450 direct jobs.
Among the proposed projects is a 50 MW hyperscale data centre at Ganga Malanpur in Gwalior, planned by CyTac RE with an investment of ₹6,415 crore. The Chief Minister also said the state had received additional investment proposals worth around ₹5,800 crore, which could create approximately 10,000 employment opportunities.
The summit also saw the announcement of plans to establish a Semiconductor Centre of Excellence focused on chip design, very-large-scale integration (VLSI), research, prototyping and skill development. A separate centre for photonics and quantum technologies is also planned to support research in quantum computing, quantum communication, advanced materials and other deep-tech areas.
The state government plans to prioritise semiconductor manufacturing, electronics production, advanced packaging and chip design along the Indore–Ujjain Economic Corridor. Yadav also held individual meetings with executives from 12 technology companies to explore further investment opportunities.
