Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held discussions with a 14-member business delegation from Singapore in Lucknow to explore investment opportunities across key sectors, including logistics, semiconductors, data centres, green energy, urban planning and hospitality.
Led by the Singapore Business Federation, the delegation is visiting Uttar Pradesh following the Chief Minister’s visit to Singapore in February. The discussions focused on strengthening economic ties and attracting investments into the state.
During the meeting, Adityanath proposed developing a dedicated ‘Singapore City’ and a high-tech industrial township near the Noida International Airport at Jewar. He highlighted the region’s connectivity through the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors and an extensive expressway network, stating that it could develop into a major supply chain hub for international companies in northern India.
The Chief Minister also highlighted investment opportunities in the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor, which has six strategic nodes in Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi, Agra, Aligarh and Chitrakoot. These nodes have received investment proposals worth more than ₹35,000 crore, reflecting the scale of proposed investments in the state’s defence manufacturing sector.
